Review of Help Scout
Useful enough for a support team to keep conversations human, and the wide integration range gives us room to connect our existing work (the API is there when standard options fall short).
Reporting helps too. Still, integration depth is what decides whether this earns a place in our workflow.
Review of Zendesk
The unified workspace is genuinely handy: calls sit alongside tickets, email and chat, so agents can see the customer’s history without playing detective.
That tidy promise does not quite settle my practical questions about admin controls and getting our data back out; those matter when you are choosing a system for a support team.
Capable, then, though hardly a revelation.
Review of Intercom
Live chat and targeted messaging help me respond promptly, and automated conversations take some routine pressure off support (a welcome bit of breathing room).
Bringing sales, marketing, and support together is convenient, though keeping my support work focused takes attention.
It helps us engage customers through their journey, but I still keep an eye on whether automation feels personal to the person asking for help.
Review of Campaign Monitor
I am still checking subscriber details between our support records and email sends (apparently, matching names counts as a workflow). The templates are making our organisation's updates look polished, and the builder is easy enough for our team. But until that handoff feels easier to verify, I am calling it useful rather than reassuring.
Review of Zoho Expense
I expected another afternoon of chasing a receipt through email. Instead, I photographed it, sent the expense along, and could actually see where approval was sitting.
That sounds like a painfully low bar, and it is, but seeing the handoff without asking around is a relief. The numbers still get my usual suspicious second look.
For once, the second look feels like caution instead of damage control. I'd gladly use this again.
Review of Expensify
At our nonprofit, receipts used to arrive in my inbox like tiny puzzles. Photographing one instead of typing every line is, annoyingly, useful.
I still check the scanned amount before it goes anywhere. A creased receipt can turn a simple reimbursement into more squinting than it deserves, and I don't trust the app to catch that for me.
Still, approvals are easier to follow now. I'd keep using it, with my eyes open.
