Review of TIPWeb-IT
Asset tracking is laid out in a way that makes sense for finance, and the funding compliance and depreciation reporting are useful, but there is still work in getting records organised before the information is dependable, which is the part that gets irritating when I just need a clear answer.
Once the asset information is in place, assigning devices and letting IT, finance, and administration work from the same records seems practical, and the unlimited user access should help with that, though it does not remove the need to be careful about who is responsible for keeping details current.
I would use it as a useful system for a school team that needs to track a lot of equipment, but the benefit depends on the setup being done properly and people keeping assignments accurate, so from the finance side it feels helpful after the initial effort, not especially effortless.

Starting feels straightforward for a finance team. Once projects and issue tracking are in place, email notices and access controls help teams keep requests organised with less back and forth. I like that it is free and open source, and project based organisation makes issues easier to follow, though configuration and permissions still take thought and can slow a quick start for people managing access.
The interface is less polished than commercial products, and plugins give teams ways to customise it, but as someone influencing the purchase I would want setup expectations clear before staff rely on it for daily work. The access controls are useful to have, and email notifications support follow up, yet we need to understand who should see each project, because sorting that out can take more effort than the simple tracking itself.
