Review of CDD Vault

Shared records are key for research (and smoother collaboration)

Before we chose a research platform, I wanted one place for compound, sample, assay, and notebook information across the team. CDD Vault brought those pieces into a secure central repository, with an Entity Registry, Inventory, Bioassay Data Management, SAR analysis, and an ELN supporting a shared path from registered material to experimental results.

The integration story was the part I examined most closely, since research systems must fit existing workflows. CDD Vault connects its own data and analysis capabilities, though I would map surrounding workflows before assuming every external connection is covered. That is a planning step, especially when several disciplines need shared access to the same scientific record.

Administration was easier to reason about with data and analysis in one web interface, and exports mattered because teams need usable data beyond a single screen. Overall, it looked like a capable foundation for collaborative discovery, with breadth for our research teams, though I would validate export needs and external connections early.
