Budget backup is easier to check on my phone while I am away from my desk, between campus questions. That matters when a question comes in, since the governed repository lets our small team view and share corporate documents with version management. Helpful, and reassuring.
Getting staff to the right file still takes thought, since access controls need to match how people handle documents across devices. At month end, a phone friendly route to corporate files is appealing, though I would want permissions and a settled routine clear before colleagues depend on it for everyday requests during busy periods. That implementation detail deserves attention before we ask others to rely on it.
Review of IconCMO
IconCMO won me over because the finance pieces are not treated like an afterthought. Contributions, fund accounting, membership records, and member access sit close enough together that I am not reconciling three separate stories at month end. The setup still needs patience (permissions especially), and I would not hand it to a volunteer without a short walkthrough first. Once the structure is in place, though, it is steady. Reports are where I expect them. Giving records are easier to check. The cloud access matters when I am reviewing numbers away from my desk, but it has not felt loose or casual with financial data. My main complaint is the number of small decisions during setup. They are easy to skip and annoying later. For a small church office with real accounting needs, I would choose it again.
