Review of Workday HCM

Workforce Planning

Getting people started across our different teams felt manageable once we had a shared workforce picture. That helped our rollout. Having planning, analysis, and execution together gave our HR team a clearer place to work from, and the skills-based foundation seems more adaptable as employee expectations shift. Turning analysis into useful reporting still takes attention when we need people to use it consistently.

I liked the direction, but getting broad team adoption still depends on making the information useful in day-to-day decisions, not just available.

Review of BambooHR

Useful foundation, with follow-through still on my desk

During a recent onboarding push, I liked having employee records gathered in one place. That made the handoffs feel less scattered, and I could see the appeal for a large HR team. I was interested in the chance to make onboarding smoother. The irritation came after setup: I still spent time following up to get each step completed. The records were useful, yet they did not remove that work. I also wanted reporting that made the status easier to judge at a glance. It is a capable base for HR, though the follow-through and reporting left me doing too much checking.
