Review of iVisitor Management

Useful Software For Small Offices

Visitor and movement records give our small office a clearer view of activity, including volunteers, staff, and tardy students. Having background checks and audit trails alongside visitor tracking is reassuring, since safety questions rarely arrive at a convenient time and records need to be easy to review. Traffic reports add useful context, though I still need the screens to feel straightforward enough that staff can use them without a small committee meeting.

Training and buy in are the part I keep circling back to, because another safety tool is only helpful when people understand it and actually follow the same steps. That takes work. Reporting and screening make this worthwhile, but ease of use needs to be convincing before I ask everyone to adopt one more process in an already busy office.

Review of Planview Projectplace

A useful project workspace for planning and follow-through

Projects stay visible. That helps keep handoffs from quietly disappearing between meetings.

Setup takes patience. Our small office can see tasks, timelines, and shared documents together, which cuts down on the usual status chasing. Still, the boards and charts only help once people understand where updates belong, and getting everyone comfortable takes more instruction than I expected; some staff want a simple list, while the rest of us need enough structure to catch delays early.

The payoff is a clearer picture of who is doing what, and the shared workspace gives our team a place to coordinate without another round of scattered notes; I still have to reinforce the routine and make room for training, especially when people are already busy, but the visibility helps me keep projects moving with fewer avoidable check-ins.
